Bingo and I will be back on for CP Radio this Thursday night (8:30 or 9 PM MST - to be confirmed).
Even though the news is a bit old we will talk about Darryl Sutter's departure, and of course the season to date.
Specific topic suggestions are always welcome!
EDIT: now up for download: http://www.calgarypuck.com/cpradio/cpradio-archives/

Maybe we can get your guys take on the poll about playoffs or top 5 draft pick?
The coaching staff - stay or go?

Thoughts on who will be moved at the deadline and what kind of return they'd garner would be great!
Been too long since the last CP Radio. You guys do a great job, looking forward to it.
There seems to be a bit of disagreement on here regarding the Kostopolous suspension, I'd love to hear your opinion on the hit, as well as Feaster's defence of Kostopolous.

I would like to hear you opinions on everything that has happened since the last podcast.
Also, your own plan A and plan B.

/speculation as to what you think Feaster's A & B are.

Will Feaster remain as permanent GM or who would be a better candidate. His track record (drafting and trading) is pretty weak, other than the cup of course.

Feaster has said that he would like to see the team change to a more uptempo offensive game, ie. Tampa
Something just doesn't add up, ie. we still have the same coaching staff.
Do you see our current coaching staff working in that style of game? If not, who might be brought in to bring about this change?

Do you think Sutter is the coach for the flames if they choose rebuild and go younger. I think he has proven he can work with young players (WJC, and Coach of Rebels). Does he have to go because his last name is Sutter?

Do we keep the core, dump B. Sutter and staff, and retool?
or
Do we dump the core, keep B. Sutter and become the young guns again??

Sound ok?
Sound ok?
Sounds perfect for me.
I disagree somewhat Jiri.
I see the series against SJ as the other 'what-if' instead of against Chicago. Especially after we lead in Game 7 off of Nolan's breakaway goal prior to Kipper letting in several softies.

I was listening to the Fan960 and they talked about how eerily similar Ottawa and Calgary have progressed and where they stand today. Do you guys agree?

With the way that San Jose is doing now, and the small possibility that Doug Wilson is fired, would you take him and leave Feaster as AGM?

I agree with how Darryl cant be blamed for being stubborn. A lot of his moves were praised when made (last one being jokinen). I think the wheels fell of when Joker didnt work and the Dion deal was done in desperation

I dont think the Dion move was born out of desperation, but something (whether you believe it or not) in the locker room.
The NYR deal and the Edmonton Oilers deal on the other hand....

maybe not desperation then, but it was a terrible deal. i hated it then and hated it now, as did a lot of people. brutal brutal brutal, and it was the start of sutters bad moves.

Doug Wilson? Someone wants Doug Wilson? Now I've heard everything.
Question for CP radio: How important do you feel it is for the Flames as a team to have an identity and stick to it? Or can you deviate from it to try and add good pieces?

One more question from me:
How does the rebuild/retool impact the projected 2014 timeline for the new Arena? Will it be a harder sell? Will fans support it. Do you believe the team will hold to see what Edmonton does?

any idea when the archived version will be up?
Comparing Iginla to Spezza was a low point.
I actually thought the J-Bo comparison they started with was way more apt. If Iggy is comparable to anyone on the Sens roster it's Alfie.

Completely agree.
Shameful that it's okay to start ripping Iginla but for some reason Bouwmeester of all people is a sacred cow.
Just weird.

The comparison is not entirely perfect but there are elements that are there. Iginla has been a terrible defensive player for many years. But he's not lazy like Spezza is - that's for sure.

In what way? He's been with the same team his entire career, and is their franchise player and captain. He came close to winning it all one year but came up tragically short and many fans would like to see him win the cup at least once before he retires. Unfortunately that probably means he has to look to another team to do it.
The two are more similar than you think. In fact the only real difference I can think of is that Alfredsson at least had a supporting cast in Heatley/Hossa and Spezza, while Iginla has never had more than one quality linemate at a time.
